The inhabitants of Bergen are creating statues for the Christmas crib in the R.C. Church after a design by artist Jaap Min(?). SHOTS: - Min sketches the design in his studio; - based on the designs, the smith forges the metal framework of the statues from thick wire in the smithy; - others model the heads and other parts out of clay in their living room and lay the finished prodcuts to dry behind the coal stove; - the metal frameworks are "dressed" with the dried parts; - a company of ladies are sewing and pinning the dresses for the dolls and dress the dolls up; - int. church: man walks towards the communion rail near the sanctuary and hands the statue to another man who is constructing the crib; - several details of the finished crib.
