All hands on deck when Vice-Admiral Pröpper, chief of the Naval staff and Commander of the Naval Forces, and Vice-Admiral Brouwer go aboard the cruiser HM De Ruyter, the flagship of squadron 1, in the harbour of Den Helder. Pröpper announces from the bridge that he has handed over the command of the Naval Forces to Brouwer. The Dutch flag is lowered and salutes are fired. Then Brouwer announces from teh bridge that he has taken over the position, the flag is hoisted again and salutes are fired.
