The new locks near Vreeswijk in the canal Vreeswijk-Jutphaas (side arm of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal) are put into use. SHOTS: - the new locks; - map on which the course of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal is shown; - the old situation at the Koninginnesluis (Queen's Lock), where the canal is filled with inland vessels; - the Dutch flag is hoisted in front of a large audience, after which the locks atre opened and the ships sail into it; - the new lock with ships.
