Week number 45-50
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Some places of Walcheren are becoming dry land again after the dykes that were bombed by the Allied troops in 1944 were closed. In these places the damage done by the water can be seen: orchards and fields have turned into dead land; roads have been destroyed; graves in a cemetery are ruined; houses have collapsed and the dried area is covered with a thick layer of mud. Everywhere people are busy cleaning and tidying. 00:39 trees and poles have been overgrown with mussles.
