The returned moderate to severe frost is causing problems for a lot of birds. A lot of birds are brought into bird shelters to regain their strength. Thanks to Comité Wintervoeding (Committee Winter Feed) in The Hague, who give advice on relief measures, food is distributed at a lot of places for birds. SHOTS: aerial shot of winter landscape; long-eared owl and common kestrel at a shelter in Huizen; dead heron on the ice; a woman feeds birds at the Nieuwkoopse Plassen; eating herons.
